Czech Republic: Security Volunteer in the city of Stříbro

The Security Volunteer project in the city of Stříbro has brought together dozens of brave women and men who, in their free time, are dedicated to crime prevention and feeling of security of their neighbours and city visitors. On principles of Community Policing, under leadership of municipal coordinator, they help with preventive activities (controlling level of security of houses, cottages, parked vehicles; preventive lectures and events for children and seniors), safety at pedestrian crossings, security at city events, etc. From 2022, volunteers also help with adaptation and integration of Ukrainian war refugees, including engagement of war refugees as Security Volunteers.
