Jaworzno City – a Safe City with a Shield

The project’s main aim was the improvement of an overall safety, but due to the fact that the large amount of financial resources were spent each year by city hall because of the devastation done in public places, it's specific aims concentrated on vandalism and the implementation of zero tolerance policy towards vandals and petty crime perpetrators. The tools used in the project to reach the goals comprised among others:
    - CCTV monitoring system
    - educational and informational campaign aimed at citizens
    - drafting a hazard map
    - promoting crime hotlines
    - immediate reaction to theft and vandalism
    - strict punishment
    - special “Shield Programme” in schools
    - self defence trainings for women
