Polish Policy on Sexual crime

There is no strategic or national approach to reduce sexual crime or violence in Poland but in several national programmes and strategies this problem is described. Sexual crimes are part of locally implemented domestic violence reduction projects and in "The National Programme for Family Violence Counteraction" (In Polish) special attention is given to the problem of sexual violence against children.

In police efforts to reduce sexual crime, women, young people and children are the main target groups. By raising public awareness, special meetings and consultation points the police are trying to give to women and children at risk necessary assistance.  In many police stations in Poland special rooms called “Blue rooms were prepared. These were especially set to interview sexual crime victims.
