Slovakia: Information offices for victims of crimes
First system service for victims of criminal offences in Slovak Republic, which is provided by the civil servants (Ministry of Interior of the SR) for victims of diverse criminal acts (property crimes, economic and violent criminal activities) in a cooperation with partners (governmental, non-governmental sector and municipality).
Support victims of crimes in the Slovak Republic in a way that:
-the victim receives relevant information in a understandable and clear form, sensitively and respectfully,
-these services are available (both economically and accessibly in terms of location),
-these services are offered free of charge,
-these services are carried out discreetly,
-the empowered victim is capable of free decision making about future approach.
This was a non-competing project of the European Crime Prevention Award 2022.
