Spain: Controla Tu Red (Control Your Net)

Fundación MAPFRE and the Spanish National Police have been running "Controla tu Red” to promote safe and responsible use of new technologies through training and prevention in order to:

• Raise public awareness of the need to develop good digital health.
• Prepare young people to acquire habits focused on self-protection and the controlled and safe use of ICTs.
• Inform families. Just as we teach our children to live in the real world, we must teach them to LIVE ON THE WEB, and to this end we need knowledge that will allow us to detect and respond to inappropriate behavior.
• Provide education professionals practical and flexible materials that give them information with which to identify signs of inappropriate ICT use.

The project started in 2014 and is still running.
