Spain: Red-flag Artificial Intelligence for Trafficking (RAIT)

The Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Diaconia España is specialized in the fight against human trafficking. To combat this crime, the organization carries out, among others, research activities on key topics in the field of human trafficking.
In order to explore the new and still unknown trend of human trafficking online, Diaconia launched the Technology and Trafficking project in 2022 with the aim of the real implication and impact of technology on human trafficking. This project seeks to contribute to understanding the magnitude of the phenomenon of trafficking online, as well as to create specific technological tools to help preventing the crime and improving its prosecution when thus is carried out totally or partially online.

The project started on 1 February 2022 and is still running.
