The partners of the RESCALED movement look forward to welcoming participants to this launch conference hosted by the Vrije Universiteit of Brussels (VUB) on April 10th, 2019. Over 150 expected delegates will reflect on how to promote penal transition towards detention houses, small-scale, differentiated in terms of security level and programs and integrated in the local community.
The international launch conference will create opportunities to share experiences and ideas, paving the way for stronger synergies to mainstream community detention houses as alternative to prisons in Europe. Please visit their website www.rescaled.net for additional info.
The partners of the RESCALED movement will build on the outcomes of the launch conference and will present the conclusions of the first day to members of the European Parliament and the international press on April 11th.
