Project "Safe Senior" and thereby its main theme "Safe senior in a safe house" was implemented in the third quarter of 2009. Initially, participants in the meetings with officers were pensioners of Polish Association of Pensioners and the Disabled, as well as supporters of the club Jantar. Subsequently The policeman of The Department of Prevention in Szczecin has established cooperation with key partner The Association of Third Age University in Szczecin and other institutions supporting the project.

The project aim was to develop estimates of the economic costs of crime in Hungary. The researchers were interested in finding out what the costs of crime are to the community, at a social level. In September 2009 Hungarian researchers with the assistance of experts from the United Kingdom have taken stock of the data accessible from the existing data systems and sources in Hungary and they have come to the conclusion that there is place for developing estimates based on the existing data.

The research summary from the Romanian Crime Research and Prevention Institute, Public enquiry on Social attitudes on (road) traffic risks, examined car drivers’ attitudes towards traffic risks. The outcomes are supposed to be used to guide the activities on road traffic education. The study was a reiteration of a research conducted 2 years ago, in March 2008, and had the same objectives as the one carried out earlier.

In the study the Romanian Crime Research and Prevention Institute evaluated the project ,,Strengthening the capacity of the Romanian law enforcement agencies to prevent and investigate internet child pornography cases”, initiated in 2010 by the Romanian Police, together with the Norwegian Police. The project aims were to provide more information for target groups (children, parents, teachers) for preventing child pornography online, for this reason the Crime Research and Prevention Institute carried out a survey in February 2010. The study also presents the evaluation results.
