The objectives of this project are fivefold: 1. to improve police preventive action on gender-based violence; 2. to increase efficiency in the protection of victims against any aggression, by monitoring the implementation of the judicial measures that have been adopted; 3. to ensure an immediate police response to victims by assigning a personal officer to each of them; 4. to foster and develop prevention and self-protection measures among victims against violent behaviour; and 5. to build confidence among victims that encourage them to report to the police any kind of criminal conduct concerning gender-based violence that they are suffering.
