The EU-wide Focus Day aims to encourage citizens to protect their home by the use of a prevention campaign and local preventive initiatives. The campaign ‘Keep the surprises for your holiday!’ includes a poster, flyer and three short social media posts. In addition, the municipalities of several countries will organise events that focuses on the prevention of domestic burglary. All these initiatives and prevention tips are gathered on a national prevention website.
Awareness raising: how citizens can protect themselves
At the start of the 2018 World Cup we have launched a European prevention campaign on pickpocketing during mass events. By the use of three animation videos the EUCPN and 25 European Member States aim to step up the fight against this crime by informing and warning citizens on how they can protect themselves.
