Girl and Boy power in Lithuania

The project aims to empower young Lithuanian boys and girls at risk (e.g. children without parents, rebellious teenagers, low income and socially marginalized families, children of economic migrants, children from poor and rural areas) from different social risks, by transferring Scandinavian experience of group empowerment to Lithuania.

The project aims to give a possibility for young boys and girls at risk to take, control over their own lives, to improve their self-confidence and self-esteem. In order to achieve that they need to be provided with the skills necessary to form their own future and to analyse their own attitudes and actions.

Apart from individual level, the project is also expected to have an impact on the society level, to help ensuring gender equality and democracy in Lithuania.
