Behind Your Screen - The Project Week

94% of all youngsters in Europe are online daily. Building resilience against online bullying, violence and outright cybercrime through education in digital literacy is a must for the future.

The Behind Your Screen Project Week is an interactive week for high schools in the Netherlands focusing on cyberbullying, sextortion, money muling, fake news and cybercrime. Through digital games, interactive classes and film education by students of journalism, this project manages to coach the target group, elevating their knowledge about the subject matter and giving them the required tools and skills to recognize and prevent victimization in the future.

The Project Week aligns closely with the experiences of youngsters which contributes to the successful approach.

The Project Week is still conducted every week, reaching 8.000 students per year.
