Safe and Secure Homes has been established under the Neighbourhood Management thematic programme of the Mansfield Local Strategic Partnership (LSP). To achieve this aim the project set itself the objectives to encourage multi-agency partnerships that would reduce both domestic burglary and the fear of burglary.

This article explains the approach of complementary developmental support and violence prevention for young people and describes the efforts of the Foundation German Forum for Crime Prevention (DFK) and its partners as well as the involvement of staff of its office, aimed at improving the quality of developmental support and violence prevention work in the relevant fields of activity of social policy (such as youth, family, social affairs, education, interior affairs, judicial affairs) and at strengthening it in the long term.

In short, the project was coordinated by the Latvian Ministry of Interior and conducted under the European Union programme “Prevention of and Fight against Crime”. The project team developed the concept “exploitative sham marriage” in order to describe the phenomenon studied. Each partner conducted a national research which was coordinated and led by HEUNI. Primarily qualitative data was collected, such as expert and victim interviews in combination with case descriptions from NGOS and embassies. Also statistical information and pre-trial investigation and court material were utilised. The report is written for a large variety of experts and professionals working in the field of anti-trafficking.

It is not only the involvement of organised crime in cybercrime that is dangerous, but also cybercrime committed in an organised manner. Cyber-OC represents the convergence of these two phenomena. Despite the huge threat arising from its cumulative character, Cyber-OC is frequently underestimated and differently defined even by law enforcement authorities.
